Grand Isle KOA NE. The Koa itself was not bad. Was clean and located in a nice area however management was absolutely horrible. KOA corporate is not forthcoming or cooperating either. The problem stems from our visit June 29th 2023 site #72. A woman driving her oversized camper way to fast side swiping our awning in the process. My wife went over to talk to her and the woman was unhinged right out of the gate. We went to the front office to see if we could get resolve and they said they had trouble with her and her dogs . So they were totally reluctant to talk to her. You pay extra at a KOA to get quality ,nice campers . Not here . Sent many emails to corporate and have heard nothing back.
The good-Great staff! Easy on/off the interstate. Quiet location. Level sites.
Decent wifi. Clean pool.
The bad-cable wasn’t working, Sites very close together. Could have used a mow.
Overall- good place for a stop over.
I don’t think I’ve had a bad experience at a KOA, but this one is nice! I enjoyed sitting on their swings in the evening. They had clean bathroom facilities and showers. 20,30, & 50 amp hookups & water.
The person at the front desk was welcoming and helpful when we arrived and departed. She went above and beyond when I was looking for a way to reheat my coffee before taking off in the morning.
It’s about a 15 minute drive to town (Grand Island), which has a lot of options for grocery stores, gas, food, and coffee.
Very very clean and well stocked front office and staff extremely friendly and effective. The rv spots are gravel and dirt so there’s a bit of mud. The sewer receptacle in the campsite is defective, your hose cannot connect and needs repair. You can hear Highway traffic, but it’s not too bad, the park itself is quiet. Sites are relatively level. I would recommend for an overnight stop :)
