Be sure to have a high clearance vehicle if you go past Whitney Pocket. Couldn't find the petroglyph which was too bad but, beautiful area

Geologic wonders, animals, history and lots of trails to explore by vehicle or on foot. This is a beautiful place to get away and experience the majesty of nature.

The main road can vary greatly in condition, a vehicle with high ground clearance is needed. Four-wheel drive will be handy if you explore any of the sandy washes.

Great park that seems to be overlooked. Drive in is kind of a stomach rattling nightmare that takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on which part you're going to. Pretty clear sky for night shooting. Huge variety of rock formations and vegetation. Bees everywhere in the summer.
