Had a great hike with lots of nature. We fed the vampires (I forgot our bug spray), then had a picnic lunch and the kiddo played in the park. Will definitely go again. It isn't a fancy park but great if you want to commune with nature . Just load up on the vampire repellent.
Nice quiet campground. Good central clubhouse with laundry. Beautiful pond. 3 nice wooded trails. Fixtures could use some updating. There are some relics of the parks history.
Amazing place to bring your family or to go alone. Beautiful scenery, lots of recreational activities and a handful of places to fish. You can also camp here, rent cabins, tents, boats, fishing items, and much more! It's also free to enter with military ID. I'm sure that I am forgetting many other things. Definitely a place to check out.
I've been going here since I was a kid in the mid 70s. The staff is friendly and helpful. Not much has changed over the years. But, it is a great place for afternoon picnics and trail walks. Fishing is ok, too..
