We loved our month-long stay at Walkabout Camp and RV Park! Their facilities are second to none, and Troy, Katie & staff work very hard to to keep things in tip top shape - yet always have time to chat and make guests feel welcome. We appreciated their advice, kindness, understanding and help - especially when we had difficulty with our slides, once overloaded a washer (my bad!) and needed to borrow tools to work on our bikes. We played pickle ball, enjoyed the beautiful pool, loved the friendly little animals, chickens and ducks, and walked their trails daily. They hosted events and recently opened an amazing outdoor bar. The laundry facilities were great, and we even took advantage of having packages delivered onsite. This campground is an excellent base location is for visiting / shopping in nearby Kingsland and St. Mary’s, as well as biking/ hiking Crooked River State Park, Jekyll Island (a must), St. Simons Island and Amelia Island! We highly recommend Walkabout Camp and RV Park.

This was our 4th yr in a row that we stopped for the night on our way to Florida. It's very obvious that the owners take pride in their property! Since we only stay for one night we didn't have the opportunity to use the facilities other than the dog park and petting zoo; they have goats, a pony, a small adorable hairy cow and free range chickens. There were corn hole boards, beach volleyball, and other games. It was nicely landscaped and plenty of grass on all of the sites. It's very conveniently located right off of I95 Georgia exit 7. We'll definitely be back next year.

The Walkabout Camp was very nice! We enjoyed seeing the animals they have (goats, chickens, horse, and a yak) and bathrooms were exceptionally clean! Pool looked fun but we weren't able to enjoy due to the rain. They had lots of fun things to play with for the kids. A large connect four game, cornhole, and Mega Jinga! 10/10 recommended! 🫶🏼

Troy, Katie, and the entire staff were super friendly and helpful. The campground has a ton of amenities and a newly opened bar. You can tell that when they do something, they really put the time and effort into doing it right. A big added bonus is the walking path system that goes around and behind the campground. We enjoyed walking our dog on the paths and exploring the woods. Decent gas station and convenience store right down the road. Great proximity to Amelia Island and Jacksonville.
