5 star stay. When I arrived from West Virginia it was cold and dark. I am solo & the staff were kind enough to have someone escort me to my site with a golf cart. The sites are on the smaller side however I was here for one night so it didn’t really matter to me what size the site was. They are easy in & easy out- plenty of room for my 2 slide 32.5ft camper. They offer breakfast in the morning and have a menu and deliver to your site. I thought that was nice. The park itself is clean & VERY dog friendly (which I love!!) Looks like there is plenty to do for kids & teens which is nice. I highly recommend this KOA. The showers are OPEN now despite other not so friendly reviews- and they are clean and there’s plenty of hot water to go around :-)
The staff were friendly and helpful. It met our needs on the way through the area. The only detractor was paying a premium for firewood to have rotted logs delivered. After a long day on the road it was not worth my effort to find someone to replace it. Would recommend with caution.
Great location right off 95. Easy to get to with a big rig pulling a trailer. Awesome staff! Cute well thought out camp store. Very clean and laid out well. Set up nice for people traveling with their children. Mini golf and playground looked nice! We will definitely use this location again!
I was really looking forward to our first stay at a KOA. However, we had a stressful experience here. When we arrived, we were informed they didn’t have a space for us. Every time it rains, their sites flood, and it had been raining heavily for 2 days. We prepaid for a 50amp pull-through spot, but they were all flooded.
They could only offer a 30amp + patio with no price adjustment, or a cancellation and refund and we could keep driving. Since the patio addition was really of no value in the pouring rain, and without the full 50amps we couldn’t run our electric heat for that 29 degree night, they agreed to provide propane as an accommodation to even out the inconvenience. Unfortunately, they didn’t honor that agreement and we still paid full price for the downgraded spot and propane. After we were charged for the propane, my husband went in to ask about it and was told no one there actually has the authority to make that offer.
Worse still, the girl at the counter handling our reservation treated us like this situation was our fault. There was a kind older lady at the counter who was very empathetic about the situation, but the younger girl there kept snapping at her and shutting her down when she would try to help. The gentleman who escorted us to the spot was very helpful and apologetic for how she treated us, which we appreciated.
Even in the downgraded spot, all our hookups, including the electrical, were in a puddle of standing water.
They really need a better system to handle this apparently frequent and foreseeable problem so guests don’t arrive and have to handle a problem that’s not their fault. A call, text, or email would have made a big difference.
Long story short, if you’re arriving on a rainy day, be prepared to get a spot entirely different than what you paid for in your reservation.
This campground is worth the stay! All staff members were very helpful, friendly and professional. The campground is very well maintained and clean. The free breakfast was delicious. The pool had a small water park which looked inviting. They also have a nice little store.
They were open til 8pm, and escorted us to our site, which we needed since it was very dark out. We got there late because of a tire issue that had to be fixed before we arrived. We were passing through, but would stay for a longer period.
Stop at this KOA!!!
