Beautiful scenery, well maintained bathrooms (but bring your own TP as supplies are limited), campsites are decent, but very limited. Weekends are way popular, but middle of the week you may have the place to yourself. Good hiking in the area. The road to get to this CG requires high clearance, very careful driving, and good shocks. No running water, no showers, ridiculous amount of mosquitos so make sure your anti-bug game is on point. The amount of mosquitos is almost laughable. Campsites have places to put your tent, but it's on very dusty and rocky ground. Couldn't get stakes in, dust was a real problem. If you can handle all that, a buffet of treats await you. The CG opens later in July so check w the USFS before you go to make sure it's open.
The signs said don’t drink the water but I did and now I have dysentery
