Fun for all ages. They have a park and splash park for kids. Young kids can enjoy shallow areas in the water. Older kids and adults can enjoy snorkeling over the spring or jumping from the high dive. The boardwalk is nice and goes out to Suwanee River. There are benches you can sit on during your walk and enjoy the view.
Really nice for a county park. We enjoyed the many areas of the spring run for swimming. The dock to jump off of was a hit all around. The splash pad was a highlight and great for the little kids that can't take the cold. The boardwalk along the Suwanee river has some gorgeous views of the river and swamp.
The only downside was a tremendous amount of algae in the spring itself and in some areas of the run. It really made clear that we have polluted our lovely springs. There has been a great deal of degradation in just the last ten years. Nutrient pollution from farms and homes is making a real impact on our springs.
Couldn't ask for a more beautiful and peaceful place. Especially now that all the tourists are gone and the kids are in school. It's well maintained walkways. Easy access to different spots on the spring. A handicapped accessible swim platform. A diving dock area. You can come by kayak Waverunner or boat only to the front part of the spring. They have a really beautiful boardwalk that takes you through the beautiful giant Cypress Forest along the Suwannee River. Hike, camp, fish, or just relax in the beautiful 72° water all year round. There's public restrooms with changing areas. Picnic tables nestled under the beautiful oak trees.. Cool breezes even on 100° day through the beautiful giant cypress Forest. It's kind of a long ride, but it's definitely worth it. Our Springs here in Florida are some of the most magnificent spots in the state
