This State Campground is my perfect getaway. Just far enough away from the city life and snuggled down by the beach along the Atlantic Ocean. Campsites are clean and perfectly sized for my 33 ft RV trailer and pickup truck. Most of the sites come with water and electricity. There is a dump station on the way out and it's two lanes with two dump stations. The camping areas and walking trails are dog friendly with the normal rule on a leash and clean up after your fur baby. No dogs allowed on the beach or beach side store. Downtown St Augustine was 5 mins away unless there is an event going on.

In short it’s a shell beach. So many shells on the beach as if it’s made from shell. The sand is so different white and red one. A high hazard sings (red flags for people’s safety) all over the place on that day. It was early morning. Felt as if I’m breathing very fresh air after a long time. Many people stop by with their bikes for the view or feel the fresh breeze. Some people do come with their gym mat. A long walk from the entry point to all the way to the beach. The walk is very nice and pleasant. You also have water sport area from where you can launch your kayak. It’s not a crowded beach when we reached. Beach lovers should experience the early morning breeze and waves sound. Awesome feeling and feels very fresh.

We love this camping spot so much. It's right off the beach and when it gets dark you can hear the ocean waves as you fall asleep. Great bathrooms in the campsites and there's a playground for every couple of camp sites as well. The grill cafe next to the beach is very good and simple. Nice people and overall this is a great place for all types of people, family or not. I saw a wedding when I was here and one of the pavilions near the beach was the reception it looked beautiful. Very clean sand , I didn't see any trash at all. It's very quiet and peaceful here. You wouldn't believe you were right next to a major town. Awesome wildlife and the only complaint we had was the campsites are pretty close together. But it makes a little community. I love Anastasia State Park. We'll definitely be back again

Beautiful natural beauty. Good place for great waves, and also to spend a day at the beach, saw lots of bikes on the nice bike paths, and looks to be a great place to kayak in the protected waters in the bay/marsh area. Nice boardwalks to look over the dunes and water if you're not able to walk in the soft sand. Saw many types of birds, turtles. Leave your dog at home, not many places they are allowed here. Kayak and bike rentals available. Huge campground but we were not able to get reservations even many months ahead, very popular place to camp.
