Flamingo Lake RV Resort has a variety of beautiful, spacious sites that will accommodate just about any size RV that you or your group might have. Sites are clean, well equipped and well maintained.
Flamingo Lake RV Resort is located in North Jacksonville (Exit 32 off I-295) just minutes from the Jacksonville International Airport.
After staying at Flamingo Lake, it was apparent there is ZERO security at the campground. Their website references visitor check in requirements and gate cards. After we started our stay, the gate was always open and we noticed anyone could drive into the campground on their own. There is no one at the guard shack and no security. We had our electric bike stolen from our camper during our stay. While the campground did have security cameras, they were not much help. If they required all vehicles entering and exiting the campground to check in/out, this would have never happened. The permanent campers next to us told us they had to install security cameras around their camper due to the crime in the campground over the last year. They also told us about the car thief and attempted child abduction that has occurred in the campground over the last couple months. This campground may look nice but we have never felt so unsafe.
LOVE THIS PLACE! We had so much fun! We loved the family environment & all of the options of things to do on site while we were there. The staff was incredibly kind, intentional & helpful with everything. We can’t wait to go back soon. If I could give Flamingo Lake more than 5 stars I would! Definitely recommend!
I could say so many wonderful things about our experience and time at FLRV. I'll do a 3 things we loved and 3 things we didn't for improvement.
Top 3 we loved.
1: STAFF (especially Katie, Sarah, Harvey & Carla). Friendly, helpful & welcoming.
2: COMMUNITY (Overnighters, weekenders, weekly, seasonal, permanent) So diverse and from all over the country. Like minded people. RV LIFE is awesome. (I hated to leave!)
3: ACTIVITIES (Tavern, Cafe, nightly events, bingo is big here!)
Top 3 - areas in need of improvement.
1: On-site store needs more products to sell, very bare.
2: Maintenance of the sites, primarily leaves and branches don't get cleaned up.
3: Not every site has a fire pit or picnic table
Pet peeve:
* Staff leaf blower on golf cart blows the leaves off the roadway and into the sites and on RV and vehicles.
We already booked for this fall and will be there for 3 months again. I have been gone one day and I miss it so much.
This place is amazing. HARVEY at the Cafe is wonderful. His staff, especially Sarah and Katie, are amazing!!! We continue to book because we feel welcome and at home! Sarah and Katie make me feel at home when at the Tavern. Best place ever!!
We have really enjoyed the bar/cafe events. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. We think Harvey, Sarah, Katie go out of their way to be helpful. We have enjoyed the live music and recently the food truck and bar on Monday nights as well as bingo. Between Mike, Joe and John( grounds crew), they have been very helpful and friendly. The staff at the front desk goes over and behind to make your stay a great experience.we would recommend to anyone to stay here. We took two weeks in the summer traveling to other parks and found Flamingo Park to be a friendly community and a park that you are able to be social and enjoy unlike others just a place to stay. Thank you to all the staff at Flamingo Park.
