Probably the best deal in the area for either nightly stays or long stays. Several small hotel rooms, a large, multi room flat that sleeps 10 people (all on beds) and a small campground in the back, the 59er is rustic without being run down and is operated and occupied by very nice people. Next door is an outdoor ice cream parlor with good food. The only negative on the whole place is that ths wifi is sketchy at best. Fast enough when it works but drops out constantly. Overall a great place for the money!
I can only rate the RV park as I haven't been in the motel. First off, it is half a mile to the north and on the other side of the road from the symbol in Google maps. The sites are helter skelter among several old buildings and not very level. The electrical, water and sewer hookups work. There is a dump station on the grounds. The host is easy to work with. It is reasonably well kept but not exceptional. Lanes are fine gravel over bituminous with muddy spots when it rains and this tends to get tracked inside. The price is right. The grounds are shady with lots of trees, but a bit exposed to the north wind. There is an ice cream/burger/hot dog stand that is open during the warmer months.
Room was huge. Had 3 beds but all of them need new mattresses. My room smelled a bit funny but seemed pretty clean otherwise. Fair prices family owned establishment. Good for a basic motel stay.
The people were very nice and got us a camp spot even though we were arriving very late at night!
