The Equestrian Campground needs a better high line set up. The short posts with the straps on top are not a safe system. Take a look at the posts for high lines that are installed at yhe nearby Tells Creek Horse camp. They were done right. Also glad to see that Group Site 3 was being used by horse campers. Much more room for either portable pens or high lines. Otherwise this area is beautiful and a great place to camp.

I've been here a few times over the years. It's a beautiful lake, nice campground. No showers, no cell service. I stayed for 6 days this week and had great weather and was able to move to a site next to the lake. Campground host named Les was very nice and helpful. Thank you!

Great place to camp, however, the equestrian camp spaces are very small. Vehicles cannot be sitting on the dirt and must stay on the asphalt. If you bring a horse trailer longer than 15-20 feet, it is super tight to drive through the campground and park in the space provided. ( the one pictured here is about 23 to 25 foot.) Also, not many trails to ride horses on. There is only 2 I think. Beyond that, it was awesome. Beautiful campground that is well maintained and a gorgeous lake. The water is chilly but you can swim in it. Also allow campfires in the fire rings provided with the camp space.

This is a beautiful campground and area for access to Loon Lake, hiking and exploring. Camp host was friendly and attentive, regularly checking the entire campground. The areas by the lake for day trips and the boat launch was also well kept.

Campsite included the fire ring, grill, table and the bear locker. We bought ours at a gas station but there was a sign that said the camp host sold firewood as well. Weather was great with clear skies so you could see so many stars at night.

Highly recommend.
