It was a really nice place to stay. The camp grounds were really well kept. The kids loved the park and pool. Their favorite part was the giant air bag they can jump on. The restrooms, while a little reminiscent of the 90's, is super well maintained and was always very clean when we used the restroom.
It is technically close to the freeway; thus, we could hear the truckers when they blew their horns but the trees blocked them from view. The location was convenient as it was easy to get on and off the interstate. We did experience a severe thunderstorm and lost power, however, that was beyond the KOAs control and were only out power for a couple of hours
Isabel is the most charming and kind koa camp host we have ever had. She is customer service at it's finest!!! KOA hosts should follow her lead. Thanks for making our 6week trip our best stop period.God bless😁👍.Chris and Diane Rosellini from Ranchester, Wyoming.Merica
Upon our cross-country trips, we always stay at this KOA. We love the Buffaloes, even tho I feel they should be in a bigger enclosure. But the entire KOA has been very accommodating and reasonable, and the staff are exceptional. It has easy access from I-40 and there are great restaurants and gift shops within walking distance.
The hours listed on the website say open 8 to 8. We got there at 6:30 and everything was closed up. We had difficulty finding our assigned site as there were no lights around the park. We had to circle the park twice just to figure out how to get into our site. We finally pulled in and set everything up and then found out our site had no water. This made for a challenging stay! On the plus side, the bathrooms were nice and clean.
