From jct I-25 & Hwy 56: Go 9 mi W on Hwy 56, then W on CR 8E.
The roads are pretty iffy and they could use another public restroom. I didn’t mind the vault toilets, but some lighting and hand sanitizer would be nice? Shower building was very nice.
Do not bring a large camper here!!! They should not accept large campers (we're in a 41 ft 5th wheel) The roads are in a complete state of disrepair. Huge drop offs and craters. This campground should be closed until roads are repaired.
Fun location, electric hookups only, very close to Carter Lake. This is a county funded area and the parks pass plates do not apply.
