Take I-70 exit 187-Follow hwy 94 one mile to stop sign- then left 1 block.
I liked the location as it's close to arches but the staff huts nearby were an issue. Playing loud music most of the night. Also the trains are loud when they come by but it was only three overnight. The bathroom and showers were great.
The RV portion of the part is less to be desired. After 2 days we had to leave as we felt extremely unsafe there with our child. there were no other guests and everyone else 15 of them are residents. 1 guy lives in an underground bunker. Another guy has a dog tied all day outside and was drinking bright and early and that continued. Then dogs loose and one charged at us. Another guy was working on welding and another was cutting metal.
To date no one bothered to contact us as there’s no attendant. It’s a help yourself situation.
Talk about a Gem in the desert! This little oasis of a hotel had so much character to it. My significant other and I stayed here the last night of our vacation and it was the perfect end to a week in New Mexico and Utah. Staff was always available; rooms and common areas extremely clean and just generally pleasing all around. If you need a stop or a little get away, this is the spot for you. Bathrooms are shared with other rooms, but there is 2 and always had one available. Definitely a mist stay! 👍🌟
Went out there to see friends, reminisce, remember and really have fun. What a unique location with just a 45 minute drive from Moab. Where accessing the canyon, the Colorado river and many other outdoor activities is very convenient .The proprietor was very welcoming, warm and very helpful for information. They also have the capacity to host larger formal parties inside the canyon. Make sure to inquire. The other residents/employees were just as kind and friendly. If you are a rugged individual like me or perhaps enjoy the comfort an RV they have both amenities. Campsites, hookups and a fully dope painted bathroom: shower included. If you are every in need of a spectacularly sweet spot right outside of Moab the Desert Moon is just the place.
Clean, comfortable, and very good service. We appreciated the use of the kitchen. Yes, there is a shared bathroom. It's not a fancy hotel. It's an old house. I would stay here again. It's a great value. We slept very well.
