Finally!! People have formed a committee for this place....too many in the past have trashes this place for drinking & drugging.....NOW it's cleaned up & cared for. Clean clean outhouse. Can tent it now as well!
Love this place. Steeped in history and you can see the mountains from VT, MA, and NY. There's an awesome trail that takes u to the top in a nice relaxing setting. You can start a bonfire, relax in the pavilion, and take pictures of the beautiful flowers around you
Dennis hill state park is a nice area. There are a couple of mid length trails totaling around 1.5 to 2 miles. The trails are overall easy no major inclines or difficult terrain. One trail takes you to a small gazebo with a nice view of the area along with a fireplace. The other trail will take you from that trail up towards the picnic pavilion which has gorgeous views all around. There is limited parking. Overall a nice place.
We walked up to the building at the top of Dennis Hill State Park and arrived about 6am to a thick fog. It’s all uphill and you’re walking on the road, which makes it a relatively peaceful, easy walk. The house at the top has picnic tables inside, a fireplace, open floor plan, and is in an updated, very good condition. I would definitely recommend if you want to go for a walk with kids or bring lunch with you to enjoy at the top.
