Backcountry Entrance Units — Denali National Park

This is literally the best part of denali national park

I believe this is where we caught the riverboat. Saw the sled dogs, Caribou and native village.

Nicely arranged and room to roam about. Friendly staff and very clean restrooms.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful about the park. They make the backcountry permit process simple and efficient. However, if this is your first time backpacking Denali be prepared to spend at least an hour. This is my second time backpacking around Denali and the staff always puts me on the right path. Besides providing information, they also offer Bear barrels free of charge (which are required in the backcountry).
