Located 15 miles from Garden City, and 8 miles from Holcomb. From Hwy. 50 in Deerfield, turn onto Main Street, go south one mile, and cross the river bridge. Then immediately turn left onto River Road and go approximately 1/4 mile to Deerfield Beach Campground (look for signs) on 2385 River Rd.
This place was so run down. The bathrooms were disgusting. The "park host" rv is abandoned and falling apart. Not sure anyone even checks to see who's paying. Only good thing was it had good 50amp power.
Enjoyed quietness of park. Lots of room to walk dogs and was able to bring them down to water to swim. Very friendly owner. The place across road has horses was fun to watch them. Definitely worth the price. Office not on site is only disadvantage to me. Lots of space for parking trailer and cars.
RV Park is not at this Elm St address. Correct address is 2385 W River Rd
Deerfield, KS 67838. This said, the campground is overstated and the amenities promised either don't exist, or would be considered sub standard. Rates as promised but I won't plan to stay here again.
Stopped here on a cross country trip. I was looking for a campground with good electric as the temps hit 102 today. The campground was nearly empty. The grass was newly cut and the area was trash free. There are envelops and a drop pay station at the entrance. Pick a spot and hook up..its easy, simple and fast. For a camper its $20 and that includes full hookups..can't be beat. There are two dumpsters on site and a bathroom with shower for those with tents. Bathroom was clean, nothing fancy but everything worked. People have complained the campground has not been kept up...I spoke with family of the owner...she is a 90 yearold widow, so given that information I think the place is just fine and glad I could give her my business. This is a great place to stop and rest for the night. No campground noise and no road traffic...I'll be stopping here my next trip through Kansas.
Definitely was a good place years ago. Unfortunately it is in complete disrepair. The host is an abandoned RV. The lake is completely dry and over grown with feeds, goat heads, and tumbleweeds. The bathrooms haven't been cleaned, but the shower did work. The electric did work.
