From I-70, exit 275 South Approx. 3 miles
It's an older park, but the gravel roads and sites are solid, the hookups work, and most importantly, it's just a 3-block walk to the reason for our visit to Abilene: the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. (Well worth a visit, by the way.) Rhonda runs the place, and she is friendly and helpful. My voltage was a little high, but never enuff to trigger protection. This is where I would stay if ever back in Abilene.
Great location not far off the Interstate. Spacious sites with full hookups. Room to run the pooch. Very friendly and helpful host!!!! Close to town and food. I would have liked to have stayed longer to take advantage of the pool that looked very inviting!!!! We did not use the showers or laundry. Grounds were clean. Quiet and relaxing night.
Do NOT follow GPS instructions to enter from Cedar Street. STAY on the street straight from I-70.
Our site was level within 1/2".
Some sites have full or partial shade.
Although we had entered via Cedar Street, the owner/host greeted us where we stopped (after calling her). Then guided us into a site.
City campground in Abilene KS. It's a few blocks from the Eisenhower Museum. Location is good. The camping is fine but typical of an in city campground. Clean but worn. Sites are close together but not terrible.
Really nice campground with a great pool. The bathrooms were clean and the showers powerful. It's location, close to Eisenhower Center was an easy walk and well worth the visit. The staff was also super nice. I really enjoyed the stay.
