Stayed from Friday 6/30 to Thursday 7/6. When left I thought I would not be back. Then reflecting on stay. Decided to give it another visit later in the month. Issues with this visit. Most bathrooms and showers were not kept clean. Too many were closed. Was told by other campers that full hook up’s (sewer, water and electric) was only available to volunteers. As I walked around Coneflower site. Found that to be true. Not sure what the volunteers do there. The bugs were horrible ( not the parks fault) just an observation. Was not able to have a fire due to not having a fire pit. Cell service another issue. To get to the beach. Was not all age accessible. Could not imagine being a senior and being able to enjoy the long hike down and back up from the parking lot. Will still go back and give it a second try to see if I eliminate it off my list. Did walk the site and mark which site would be worth reserving.
Love this area. Wish they would make sure all site had a grill grate or grill. My site didnt have one so it made it challenging to cook. Site across has 2. They also need to empty the trash more often. Every time we are out here is is so full!
Every time I stay at this campground something is missing. Either an open bathroom, fire pit, water spigot, and a picnic table. And too many dogs barking all day! The park just needs to continue to upgrade this campground and focus less on the other one.
LIKED IT SO MUCH, PLANNING ON STAYING LONG TERM, AT LEAST FEW MO'S, OR SO. THE PARK, RESTROOMS, PICNIC AREA ALL CLEAN, & YES VERY DOG FRIENDLY. SO FAR QUITE HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING
