Great atmosphere amazing food definitely on the list to go back highly recommend stopping for a bit on your next trip
Pulled it at sunset on a Wednesday night to be greeted by the owners watching the sky. They were fabulous hosts. The facilities are very nice for the emptiest stretch of 50. The posts for electrical hookups are either 30 or 50, so make sure you have a converter if you're 15/20. They have some in the camp store, if it's open. The showers are hot and private and the restaurant is spacious and delicious. I worked for a few hours in the back of the restaurant on the very solid wifi. We'll definitely be back when we travel the loneliest highway.
We had a very comfortable stay, a night in a room with 2 double beds plus kitchenette. Everything worked, good shower, nice fridge, air con.. although wifi is intermittent (no problem for us with cellular). It has a restaurant Terrific value too! The EV charger was great for our car. We like the vibe of this place in the vast space of Nevada, friendly owners too.
The owners, Barbara and George offer a great place to drink, eat, and spend the night, a true oasis. We have traveled the world and always look for hidden gyms like Cold Springs Station, this one ranks high in all the places we have visited. Saw an incredible moonrise evening of Aug 31 2023. Thank you Barbara and George, may you and your establishment be blessed with good fortune and frequent travelers.
George and Nick are absolute lifesavers. We were empty on engine oil (15w30) and they were able to drive out to us and help us get the car going again. They stayed back and made sure the car started. They also drove behind us for some distance to make sure we didn’t have any immediate trouble.
In this very lonesome stretch of highway 50, they didn’t have to do what they did, but they went above and beyond to make sure we were okay.
I’m so very grateful for their help and kindness. They are amazing people and based off the rest of the reviews, they bring their integrity to all areas of their business.
Thank you for driving out to us and giving us a hand when we needed it. Not many would do the same, especially during a holiday weekend.
AAA couldn’t do the same despite our membership. Without George and Nick we would have needed to wait at least another 3 to 6 hours just to see if a service truck could tow us.
