From north jct SR-61 & SR-895: Go 2 mi W on SR-895, then 1/2 mi N on Hickory Rd, then 3/4 mi N on Red Church Rd (last 1/2 mi steep grade).
This is a family run campground and it feels like it. We’ve stayed here for many years in late September and other times as well. It’s always our last trip of the year. There are a lot of of permanent sites but also a separate section of spacious level sites that are open to reserve.
The staff are super nice and attentive and this has become one of my favorites. Thanks Christmas Pines for ending our camping season on a great note!
We tent camped here 20 years ago an we had are travel tralier here just this weekend of October 9 to 11/2020 . If you are looking for peace an quite this is it .
O Hail To The High And Mighty. I think it’s truly funny how you call my family and tell them they can no longer come over there due to some state license that supposedly claims that those who are not camping cannot come and visit. Interesting. Is this a new regulation you made up, because throughout the years we have supported your business. I don’t think that’s what the issue is, I think it has a lot to do with my three year old nephew who was screaming at bingo. Most of you forget you were once three years old and screaming. But we forget that. I’m sure you were not perfect. If you don’t want little kids there then you should make an age limit.
This place was the quietest, most peaceful campground we’ve ever been to! Our normal go to campground was booked for the weekend, so we stumbled upon this gem and we just fell in love.
We rented a rustic cabin at an amazing rate (normal price, no specials or anything). The rustic cabin was graciously appointed with heat, A/C (for a nominal daily fee), small refrigerator, small tv with a few channels....We’ve paid more to tent camp at other spots.
Cabins are close to immaculate bathrooms/shower house....Close to an extremely well stocked camp store, snack bar/ice cream stand within the store had many selections.....and the pop corn with extra butter, oh good lord!
The staff was super friendly and very helpful....due to a bad back and physical limitations the staff was more than willing to help us with our firewood....it was just an awesome, awesome experience.
We even tried to book the same cabin the next weekend, but unfortunately they were booked.
Either way, we’ll be back in the summertime next year and we absolutely cannot wait!
This is by far the best campground I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. The owners are very hands on, any issues I had was handled almost immediately with good results. It's a great place to stay at if you have young children...has a crystal clear swimming pool, great playground area,
game room. Another great thing they are pet friendly with a large shaded doggy fenced in area. They don't mind if you decorate with flowers. Have seen deer and turkeys right behind our camper. They don't allow alcohol so therefore you don't have to deal with loud obnoxious people. They have a lot of permanent sites where the guests seem to be very polite. Been living here so far for 6 weeks [due to husbands work) with no complaints whatsoever. Looking forward to the next 5 months. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS CAMPGROUND TO ALL !!!!
