From Jct of Ross Clark Circle & Hwy 231: Go 10 mi S on Hwy 231 (L)
Easy overnight stop, not far off the interstate. Most of the sites are back in, which is fine for us when we are not towing our car.
The website showed there was no availability but I called anyways and we ended up being 1 of 4 campers there.
Gravel ingress, egress and sites; no drama as it was just a short pull off the main entrance- I’ll post a video.
Great for overnight; quiet with easy access.
Very nice and clean park, hookups are laid out exceptionally well "the best I've ever seen" and the women I made the reservation with was very nice and personable. The Retreat is located in a perfect spot for travelers coming through with easily accessible places to get food and fuel without having to travel far from the interstate.
It was clean, quiet, and convenient with no frills or extras but had all we needed for an overnight stop. The site was gravel, long and flat with lighted wooden utility pedestals which we appreciated. We thought it was a little over-priced for just the basics but we would overnight here again if in the area.
Beautiful place with spacious sites. No buildings whatsoever-no office, shower house, laundry. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because the gravel site is a bit too narrow. We ended up with quite a bit of mud all over since it rained when we arrived.
