I'll bet in its day this was a super great RV park but it's getting a little rundown. I did give it 4 stars because they accepted us as a late arrival as we got caught at night in some bad weather in the area and needed a place to stop. It is a very large park and seemed a bit spooky going in there at night in the fog.

Campground was ok. There'are better spots by the river. Bathrooms were terrible. They are only cleaned once a day and the toilet paper dispenser was empty. Too few bathrooms for the amount of people. People were checking to see if our spots were paid for. I should have said get out of your cart and clean the bathroom. Beautiful area however with the mountains and the river.

Beautiful camping ground. Clean and tidy. The bathrooms are very clean and accessible from any point of the park. The Internet connection was great, actually I was very surprised considering that we were out in the woods. Our spot had a campfire wheel, a picnic table and water and electricity available. More than enough room for everyone without being one on top of another. The closest mini-mart was only 7 miles away. We visited late July and there were not many people around us which we loved. We will definitely be back as often as we can.

I don't like to leave negative review but travelers - and management- need to know. Nice location for park access and beautiful country. But this place is run-down and "junky". Old musty buildings, grimy feeling. Mix of residents and travelers is fine but the folks there need to keep their spots much better kept.. just junky. Not pleasant for the traveler looking for better aesthetics. Bad water pressure. Trash bin area was gross. Trees need trimmed up. Potholes need fixed. Could be so much better.. a shame it's like it is.

Cascade Peaks is a little gem if you are looking for a great location to ski in the winter, hike all year long, or splash around in the river. The owners are great people who are trying so hard to keep their 90 acres up and running. They are working hard to remove unwelcomed guest who sadly make their campground look a little sketchy, but if you can get past the old broken down campers, the location, price, grounds and service are great!
