Green Bay:Hwy 41 north onto 141, west on Hwy 2 thru Florence and we are .5 mi on right.
We come here every year from Ontario Canada ..this is a great pet friendly and kid friendly campground ...we love the fact that it is in a rustic environment ...very peaceful and quiet surroundings...Tracy and Brian the owners are the best ...very friendly and very accommodating...love the wood fired pizza and the Saturday and Sunday dinner specials....this camp is a great place to just relax and get away from the hectic city drama...I would give 10 stars if I could....and they always have a site for us ...been coming here for almost 5 years now and can't say much more than we love it here!!!
The website is a nice way to lure people in. The truth is this is nothing like the website shows. Hot water and showers, NOT! The bathhouse looks like it hadn’t been used in 10 years. No water. Closed off with yellow caution tape. Bathroom toilet seat held on with duct tape. Only cold water, no paper towel. Great it you are in an RV with a bathroom but with only one set of toilets for 50 + sites, not great for a pop up or a tent camping family at all. Playground is a joke, not safe at all. Very rustic bumpy driveway through the entire place. Site not level at all. Paid $123.44 for 3 nights and had better accommodations for much cheaper at a camping site at a state park! Save your $$$ and time. Not worth it!
We didn't stay there, but did eat lunch at the Mine shaft and it was Fantastic! So good that we are taking a group of people back this weekend!
Was up there last week with a group of 10 golfers. Steve's favorite place in Florence area. Nice place with cold beer and awesome pizza. The wood fired pizzas were excellent!! Friendly owners , cold beer, great pizza , what more do you need?. Will be back!!
This place was recommended to us and went to try it out, there were about 4 people at the bar in pajama pants and no people at tables. Bartender was also serving (which can be appreciated on a slow night, which it seemed to be), when he walked to the table he said “I suck at serving” and threw some menus down. We ordered the 8 piece broasted chicken with a basket of fries and a basket of wedges (the menu said the cost was $5 per basket in addition to the broasted chicken price). The fries and wedges got to the table and there were a small handful of fries and about 8 small wedges. I then questioned if they was considered a basket and he said yes a basket of each. I said so we paid $10 for that small amount and that’s considered a basket? Which he then said the menu was wrong and said the total for the 2 were $6, which was better but honestly still a very small amount for even $6. Then our chicken came and was so bloody it was dripping on our plates, and they were just like oh okay well we can throw it back in and still charged us for it. Even as much as I complained about the raw and bloody chicken we were still charged for it. Needless to say, we will never be back! It was such an awful experience!
