Located on northwest shore of Union Valley Reservoir, 15 miles from Highway 50. From Highway 50 turn north on Ice House Road (Primary Forest Road 3.) Go 7 miles, turn left on Peavine Ridge Road, go 3 miles west , make a right turn on Bryant Springs Road. Go 5 miles north to just past West Point Boat Ramp on the right. Check ahead - campfires may not be allowed during fire restrictions
Quiet, close to the water, a bit of a drive in. Just no low profile vehicles as there is a lot of potholes. And there are many meat bees but they only seem to stay until the sun starts shining , It is a FREE campsite! 6 people per site, 14 day stay limit. EDIT: THIS REVIEW IS 2 YEARS OLD AND THIS CAMPSITE IS NO LONGER A FREE CAMPSITE.
The place is good. Overcrowded. People rude , nasty , drunk , not friendly . I would go much farther to find more peaceful place to camp .
Very nice campgrounds. Campsites free until 2020. Quite a lot of mosquitos.
I would recommend going here and picking the campsite farthest from the outhouse.
It is secluded but still a popular spot, so be prepared to be around a lot of other people.
Very nice at West Point Campground.. I was up there fishing today. Caught a couple of rainbow trout. Very nice there.. I recommend to all, go there to camp or fish or to spend the day with the family..
