Great little campground, with multiple bunk bed cabins too for families. Some great hike through the hills covered in varieties of cacti. Not appropriate parking for big rigs though. Prices are really reasonable, especially if you have a senior or disabled discount. The Anza Borrego Desert to me is the most beautiful of all the California deserts.
This camp ground is small and surrounded by highways, so the road noise can be a little much. The cabins stay cool most of the day and there's a bit of shade if you're near a tree. The restrooms are nice enough and showers are available.
It's closed summer months I'm guessing because it's too hot??? It's very close to Borrego, and not too far from Lake Henshaw. Very secluded, and I'm looking forward to trying a spot there soon for a weekend.
Had a great experience here. Was unsure about the road being so close when booking but turned out to love this place and cannot wait to return. Jenny the park ranger is amazing!! She is so friendly and kind. We had a mishap with booking our campsite another night online and she went out of her way to call her boss and make sure the site stayed available while we were out. Made our trip 100% better. Thank you so much for the incredible hospitality Jenny! Keep up the great work and see you again soon!
