Great experience for watching the meteor shower. Bortle scale 4 night sky . All pictures taken from my phone. Very clean, cooperative neighbors as well.
Spent the weekend camping here with our dog and couldn't have been more pleased. Despite it being the "off season" the weather was beautiful and the views breathtaking. There was a self check-in system in place at the entrance where you could pay for your accommodations. The staff, who rode around the grounds on golf carts were incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful. Our campsite was close to a water spout as well as some restrooms which were very clean and smelled fresh. We would recommend camping here to anyone just for the view alone. Will be visiting back here very soon.

You DON'T need a reservation if you're willing to stay at the Open space area (big dirt parking area).
Have been there twice and stayed in the open area.
1st time I drove my RV to SPANISH FLAT and Guy at the entrance was rude and not emphatic about our drive to their place
But Putah Canyon Campground people are friendly and welcoming!
It cost us $45 for a whole day, including camping there overnight on the weekend. Access to Northlake birria so it was smooth the shore was a little muddy.
Great lakefront sites that are pretty clean. Water in the lake is perfect this year after all the rain! There was no enforcement of quiet hours though and our neighbors were partying loudly until 2am. No showers, flush toilets or wood fires. Everything else was great and we will be back!
