The park is near downtown Colusa, nine miles east of I-5 on Highway 20, north of Sacramento.
Ranger, Gabriel, is awesome! The park was empty and we were able to get our 40’ 5th wheel into site #10! Bathrooms were cold so we took a shower in the rig. Water and electric was $45/night. A bit high, but if you are in to fishing it is right on the river and there is a boat launch.
Was a great experience, was able to stay the night close by, and BBQ'd our way.
$25 non electric site with water close by. Showers have token machines but they are disabled. Showers work without them. 1.3 mile uphill (steep grade) walk to the overlook.
This isn't the cleanest place to come to, but there are many different places to fish on the shore. There's a trail leading to a beachy fishing area on a bend. There is a fee for day use, camping, and boat ramp use. We paid $6 for the day use. Besides the active boats on the water, it's an enjoyable new fishing spot. It's not busy on land at all. There's plenty of parking in the month of April.
