About Campground

Once we saw the beauty of the property, we knew we had to keep it as wild and pristine as possible. On 6.5 acres the perfect number of sites was 18 keeping the large house for VRBO rental (coming soon).

Buck Acres is technically not even an RV park, we just wanted to share our property with fellow travelers so we added some gravel, and provide full 50/30/20A plug-ins and water. We use HipCamp and CampingInUSA for bookings.

Buck Acres really is "close to everything but away from it all", still being close to city amenities, including Lake Conroe. Less than 1 mile to April Sound and the largest marina on Lake Conroe, 8 minutes to Wal-Mart, but peaceful and quiet on our forested property.

As full-time RV nomads ourselves we know RV park rates are getting crazy, this is our way of trying to help the community. We've done everything we can to keep rates down. The only amenities we offer are Wi-Fi, electricity, water, and an ADA porta john that is cleaned every week.

Affordable RV parks shouldn't be sweltering hot parking lots where you're packed in like sardines! At Buck Acres we have 100' tall hardwoods and pines that have been trimmed up 60' for the safety of you and your rig! Please be aware falling limbs are still a hazard, but we have the property trimmed professionally every year.

Buck Acres is still under construction and it is a labor of love. All proceeds go immediately back into the park (We have six electric/water sites fully functional)

Bring your family, pets, and friends - tents and RVs welcome!

**Please Note**:

We do not have caretakers on the property 24/7 but are usually there for any urgent needs and will sometimes have fun activities going on at the property that our visitors are welcome to join in (bonfires and such), but since the campsites are at the front of the property, it will not disturb the guests and will not go on beyond quiet hours (10pm and 6am).

Nice and friendly staff. Been here a few times and it keeps getting better every time. The views are gorgeous and close to the lake. Lake community with everything you need close by. I will be back in the future.

Amazing little gem of a place. Staff was so patient with me..I was late getting in, the night guy was ready and waiting for me and he assisted me in backing my trailer in and making sure I was okay.

Quiet and off the beaten path. Love it

Nice small campsite in someones yard. Very nice people leave you to do your camping. You can leave your tent and go wander the area or buy food. Plenty of trees for shade. Looks like they are still putting together the electricity and water hookups. You can buy fire wood bundles for five dollars and they cut it right there for you. They only have a porter potty, but it was well maintained and clean, definitely not the typical tiny and gross porter potty usually seen. Used bug spray and citronella candles and didn't get bit by mosquitoes once.

A true hidden gem! Unbeatable price for a night, romantic get away, quiet, clean porter potty, clean grounds, electric outlets available, complimentary wood ready on our fire pit, picnic table was there and sturdy, nice property owners who were friendly and respectful, no bugs, RV owners had little light on so you can enjoy the darkness of the country, l could keep going on about this place. We used lot 18 and it is definitely 5 stars and perfect for what we wanted. We will definitely be back.
