Bobcat Run has nine premium electric campsites, each with a picnic table, fire pit, and lantern hook. The pads range from 51 to 64 feet in length and they are all within 500 yards from the shower house and restrooms. There is one family site with an extra pad and electric hookup. You can also find the amphitheater nearby where they hold activities for kids and adults during the summer. Pets are welcome but they have to be on a leash or restrained at all times. The water, showers, and RV dump station are turned off during the off-season so bring your own water during that time.
We had a great experience, the park was beautiful, great people running it, clean restrooms and tons of nice hiking trails. Fyi at the entrance gate, do come to a full stop and aswell as any of them, thank you for the break and the warning to a really nice understanding forest ranger, He truly made a very stressful arrival late to the park much better for his kindness and understanding. 🙏
We spent a week camping here and it was a great experience! Lots of wildlife and it is very well maintained. I wish they had lights at the boat ramps, but other than that it was a great campground.
Saw and found zero ticks. This was a concern after reading so many comments about them in the reviews here, and because we were taking our toddler on his first camping trip. Park staff were friendly, other guests were having fun but being respectful. Not half as busy as all the reserved sites online had me coming in expecting. Used to hunt ducks with my dad near this part of Truman. Now we'll be camping with my new family. Firewood is a standard $5 per bundle, about a standard amount and consistency of firewood. Check-in and fire wood sales 3pm-7pm.
