- Go past the "Birding Trail" sign (this is the entrance to the Fish Hatchery)
Travel past a couple of homes.
(The distance between Hwy 180 and the turn onto my road is 4/10ths of a mile).
- On the right side of the road look for a red arrow with reflectors (close to the ground) and a small sign at the intersection of a dirt road: The Guest House B&B. There is no street sign.
- Turn right and travel 1/10th of a mile.
On the left side you will see "Behr Art" and B&B signs, turn into the driveway and you have arrived!
(If you find yourself at the Santa Nino Church, you missed the turn)
Stayed here 3 nights. It was a very good time. Wood carvings here are a marvel. The most charming hostess imaginable. Off the beaten track in the best sense of the phrase.
This is a magical place, a self sustaining compound of nature, wildlife, art and tranquility. Beth, who owns and operates Behr Art Gallery & and B&B represents over 20 local artists in the area. Whether you stay in the Pond House or the Bungalow, Beth will exceed your expectations or preconceptions of what it means to be a host.
There are no human words to Express the level of satisfaction and relaxation I felt here. Beth makes you feel like family visiting. The right amount of privacy and engagement. The artwork is beyond creative and beautiful. Every piece sparks an emotional cord of delight. We stayed on the lotus tent and the romance was intoxicating. You have a whole area of privacy to just be free. The hot water outdoor shower was refreshing and you felt privacy and freedom all the same time. We will be returning for sure.
A couple of suggestions: make sure to bring a good ice chest as the refrigerator is small. Cooking is outdoors so wash and cut your vegetables and fruits ahead of time. Do your meal prep ahead of time as the is really no sink to wash things (Beth makes all things possible). Try to have what you need as the nearest store is almost 2 hours away. Bring plenty of snacks. Beth does provide snacks in the rooms and hygiene supplies.
