This is one of the parks that should be avoided. The people that live there are very friendly and helpful, but the woman who runs the place needs to be replaced. She has absolutely no people skills and doesn’t know how to deal with issues that she can’t control. The park is not conducive to large RVs. We reluctantly stayed at this park in our 40ft 5th wheel on 10-20-22.
Wow! Open sites seen…..multiple …wanted just to spend a couple nights at a location we came to many years ago, even had an annual spot for a year…. Arrived at 09:15, waited til 10:00 which was the time it said they were open on their website. No one there so called the number on the door and unbelievable…..told I would have to wait until 2pm check in and at that time she would see what was available. Well I’m sorry but that is totally crazy, took a day off work to enjoy two days, not just one day and two evenings; went on down the road to Paris landing state park and just wanna thank you….. found a new close to home getaway…..hope your poor customer service is beneficial to your business. Happy Friday! And maybe you should wake up everyday saying “TODAY IS A GOOD DAY FOR A GOOD DAY” and remember your actions are your doing!
Labor Day weekend found it crowded. Campground and bathrooms were very clean. had a problem with our original site being too unlevel but staff found another site quickly and everything was fine. Grandkids liked red neck island water park.
My husband decided he wanted to go to Tennessee for vacation and I said okay. We left Iowa Friday and arrived in Tennessee, I was searching nice campground and decided we should camp at Beech Family Campground Resort. We arrived late about 6:30 pm Saturday night, went to reserve a camp spot. We own a Winnebago Mini Flex 2023 and a ford f150. There was no one at the office, there was a number to call. My husband called the number, I explained we were wanting to stay 2 nights. The Lady explained there was no electrical spots available. I said that okey we have solar is there any primitive spots available she said say it would be $20.00 no problem. We got over to the primitive spot found out there was no water. So we drove over to the electrical spot to get water. Okey, no problem, a very nice gentleman stopped and asked us what we are doing. I explained that we are renting a spot in the primitive camp area and the water is turned off, that we are just getting some water. He called a lady on the phone and explained what was going on. I have two problems with this, she was very loud on the phone, I heard everything she said and she put the poor gentleman in a spot. I felt extremely bad for him and I pretended I didn’t hear anything. She was extremely rude. After that long drive we’re tired. We just wanted to get comfortable, we are on vacation. The next day I went for a walk and counted 17 camp spots empty. If I was the owner I would be very upset. We have decided we will not ever camp there again.
