Why So Serious?

Do not and I repeat do not stop at this campground unless your desperate and don't need to take a shower.

1. So call host is rude and very unprofessional. Act like they are doing you a favor.

2. Bathrooms are disgusting and smell like urine.

3. Shower stalls look like they have not been cleaned in months.

4. $38.00 a night is outrageous for this dump.( I paid 20.00 because of Passport America).

5. I would not come back to this place even if they paid me to come to it.

I camped in a Roadtrek.

A good RV park run by a nice Asian family, they had reasonable prices for the area, and time of week. Plus the RV park was close to the highway and filling station. It was a bit rundown but that will happen when someone puts a highway through the center of your one major attraction (the lake). Most of the negative reviews of this location sound like privileged snowbirds with overly high expectations. I thought the managers were very personable and the RV park's use of surge pricing is not uncommon or evil.

If you are looking for a place to park your RV for a night look no further proper hookups, sewer, and water.

Passport America price $20..not fancy, but utilities were good and easy in and out. Flat grassy sites and surprisingly quiet. Best if you are self contained unit since restrooms not great. Not bad for an overnight...

This was a place we found in the passport of America book it's where you get 50% off on your Campground. We were tired and they had places so we went. It was terrible. Unisex bathrooms. Bring your own toilet paper. Supposed to be pull through sites. They weren't. They did put us under the trees which was nice. You couldn't be outside any length of time. The bugs were awful. We stayed two nights only because we needed a rest. I would not recommend this place.

This is basically a grass field with full hookups behind a Marathon gas station, right off I-10. You check in with the cashier in the gas station. If you are looking for an inexpensive overnight parking space, it fits the need. If you are looking for a campground with any resort amenities, this is not the place. It has restroom and laundry facilities, but they did not look promising from the outside, and we did not use them. On the plus side, the sites are pull-through with sufficient maneuvering space. They accept passport America after 2pm in the afternoon.
