I can't say enough good stuff about Barefoot. I've been so fortunate my whole life to be able to spend days on end on this stretch of the river. Have enjoyed all the camps, but have to say, Barefoot is my favorite. I never want to leave and always look forward to getting back. In fact, I'll be there in a couple of weeks! Thank you to the owners and staff for always being friendly and laid back. Y'all really do make it a neat experience for us and have done so all through these years. 5 generations in my family have been visiting through these years and it's so wonderful sharing with our granddaughters as well.

Oh I loved it. The cliffs at the rivers edge were breathtaking. The owners were so wonderful. We felt welcomed like we were family. I thank you so much for a wonderful visit. I can’t wait to get back down to see y’all again!

I am new to RV life and it showed when i arrived at Barefoot Fishing Camp! I forgot to bring my 30amp plug 🤪. The owner went out of his way looking for an extra cord but didn’t have what i needed. I ended up spending two cool nights without A/C but it was back in May before the Texas heat got extreme. I really appreciate the kindness shown and the fact that he came by to check on my friend and i. What could have been a bad experience was not!!! It was a peaceful weekend and i highly recommend exploring the trails and the view are incredible!

We just had our daughter's wedding at Leaning Bluff Lodge at Barefoot RV Camp. It was so pretty and peaceful - so many of the guests mentioned really enjoying the lodge and the area. We were able to have family members stay at the lodge to avoid traveling home late in the evening. The ceremony was under the covered patio facing the beautiful cliffs and river. Plenty of space for the reception dinner, dancing and games as well. Even our caterer mentioned that the kitchen was spacious and well stocked. Gennifer and Michael were wonderful hosts and communicated frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. And you can't beat the price for a wedding venue!!! We highly recommend Leaning Bluff Lodge! And if you like to RV or camp, they have great accommodations for that too!

It was a nice camp ground, very clean. I didn’t realize upon booking that there was a separate tent vs. RV area so I wasn’t as closed to the bathrooms as I like. However, I got pretty lucky with my tent site in that I was pretty close to the bathrooms and had a great view of the bluffs.

The bathrooms were reasonably clean and well stocked with toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.

This site is very close to Colorado Bend State Park which I do recommend (make a day pass reservation online!!)

You will not have much cell reception but hey, that’s the point.

The hiking trails are nice but there aren’t really good maps available so don’t let your directionally-challenged friend navigate!
