This place is absolutely beautiful all times of year. Bailey is one of my favorite places to experience nature close to home; but at the same time it is exceedingly frustrating to see year after year more and more trash left EVERYWHERE. If you plan for a visit or a stay, please be responsible and bring a trash bag. If you want to do something nice for the forest and for other people who enjoy it, picking up trash and helping a place return to natural beauty is rewarding in and of itself.
Roads are a bit bumpy I wouldn't go without a 4x4. Also the roads would be really bad during a thunderstorm and some of the roads are narrow in places and not wide enough for one car leaving and one entering.
