Pool is nice. Not acceptable to have only one shower stall for entire campground. Shower did not drain. Will not stand in an inch of water to take a shower. Not to mention, there should be more than one shower for everyone.
Pulled up at 9:30pm and the power didn't work. Tried calling the onsight manager and received no response. Tried flipping the breakers, to no avail.
We had no choice but to scramble and drive 2 more hours for somewhere else to spend the night (where the power worked perfectly).
Called the manager and she said she won't be issuing a refund because we didn't try flipping the breaker...? Which of course we did (she claimed we were lying). But no matter what, the power should just work regardless - with no troubleshooting from us... that's just common sense (which is not so common anymore, apparently 🙄).
Believe the bad reviews! I wouldn't use this park at all again, but if you do - I'd caution you to arrive during the day since its hit or miss, apparently.
We had a great experience at the American RV Park we spent four days and three nights and the staff was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed for the entire weekend. They were kind enough to work with one of our members that had to cancel their reservation due to RV issues so they didn't lose their deposit. We have camped there several times but this was the first time since they have made all the additions to the park. "EXCELLENT STAFF" all arround.
We booked there for a night. When we arrived at 9:30 pm we got set up and the power did not come on. We tried the 30 and 50 amp switches and nothing. We called twice and then left a message and no one called back until after we decided I guess we better trek on even though we have a 7 year old that is tired. Spoke with the office manager and she basically said we checked it the next morning and to bad no refund.
I even said when I flip the switch you agree the power should come on. She said yes. I said then why can’t I get my money back for not working. She said sorry I won’t be giving you a refund.
It was not our rv. We had power the night before and have power now.
We stayed here for one night on our way home to WI from TX. It was an easy one night stop. Pull through FHU site was $48.50. Very clean park. Lots of long term guests. Our site was 52.
