Welcome to Allen's Point R.V. Park! Commonly referred to as just “Allen's Point” the park was constructed and opened for business by Nolan Allen in 1972. My name is Neil Dishman and I purchased the business in Aug 1994. We sold the business in Jan 2008 and have now assumed ownership once again as of 1 Jan 2010. I was born and raised five miles East of Allen's Point and fished the Verdigris River with my brothers before it became Lake Oologah . My wife, Terry, is a native of Wisconsin, a 20 year retired Air Force Veteran and has been the backbone of the business. We have two sons, two daughters and two granddaughters.
When looking at a map, you will find we are located on the only cross-over road half-way on Lake Oologah. The business park is nestled in a hollow just West of the Winganon Bridge. The quiet atmosphere, enhanced by the beautiful lake views are a vacationer's paradise for both the casual camper and the avid fisherman. Lake Oologah offer's 29,500 acres of water to fish, swim, boat, or just drift the hours away.
The Park offers 30 R.V. sites, U. S. Corp of Engineers boat ramp, and a dump station. Since we are not a federal park, the R.V. Park remains open year round and we offer daily, weekly, and monthly rates.
I’ve lived here full time for 4 mths now and looked at many places before deciding on this one, this place has been cleaned up from the old RV park from years past and they have been working on the parks appearance just about every day in some form or another.
The management has been spot on for me but truly haven’t needed anything except help getting my Fifth wheel into its spot, which Mike did a great job spotting for me, and then the water pressure issue I had that was taken care of within the hour I called!
The peace and quiet that you enjoy here make it a tranquil place to relax and take in all that this lake setting has to offer.
The tenants that I have had the pleasure of meeting have all been very respectful and accommodating to me!
I plan on being here for a long time unless something drastically changes!
It's a beautiful place just off the lake if you're going for a quick picnic or a short fishing trip but if you're looking for a place to use the bathroom then you're probably going to be out in the woods. I didn't see any public restrooms around and the bait store was closed. They have a lodge and the Eagles are the ones who sponsor that Lodge it is well taken care of if you have a membership and can use it or unless someone has it rented and are willing to let you borrow the bathroom. There we're some rest there I guess could have asked one of the rv owners.
WOW! I've lived at Allen's Point for 6 years. I came as a woman recovering from a stroke and a yr later healed mostly because of the peace the lake brings. Management has been helpful and courteous with any problems I faced. I call the " fish camp" home. I never came here just to visit. Because of God's infinite Grace, we now enjoy Church In the Camp on Thursday twice a month. This wonderful blessing has allowed those who didn't know Christ and those who couldn't attend church due to limitations to sit around a campfire and hears Pastor Wolf read God's word. The lots are maintained year around. It's clean and how wonderful to hear children play and their laughter. I am looking forward to what 2024 brings into the camp.
Such a great little hide away, always nice and quiet. Family has been coming there for years. The management has done some amazing work in the last year the place looks great. Keep it up and can’t wait to come back.
Grew up here and it has been the place for some of my greatest memories. The park is on the older side but the new management is in the process of updating and upgrading. The best part of this place is the location. It is right on the lake so it’s literally a walk down a hill and to the water. Great fishing and beautiful sunsets. Definitely a good place to visit.
