We are a quiet, secure, shaded, and gated campground in NE Oklahoma, near Grand Lake O’ The Cherokees. We have back in, pull thru, and (6) 100’+ mega buddy sites, men and women’s shower houses, laundry facility, and dog park. We are a year round campground.
Our location was first dubbed Whiskey Road in the 1920s when it was used as a covert route for bootleggers to smuggle whiskey into Indian Territory. Over the decades the name stuck, and even though the official name has changed, locals to Grand Lake still know it as Whiskey Road.
The Park on Whiskey Road is family-owned by Darin and Heather Berryhill and built on land that originally belonged to the mother of the owner. As long-time Grand Lakers, the Berryhill’s have raised their family at their weekend getaway for the past 22-years. Darin says, “Grand Lake has been a place of escape for our family, a place to bring family and friends, a place to connect with our loved ones. The Park is our way of sharing that with everyone, so they too can enjoy what we love so much about Grand Lake. We hope our customers will return to The Park on Whiskey Road for years to come and make lasting memories with their own family and friends.”
At the intersection of highway 28 & 82, head East 1/2 mi, turn left at stop sign, property 1/3 mi on left.
We stayed at The Park on Whiskey road this spring with friends. This new campground is going to be great. They have carved an RV park into an amazing property with som great trees in a great location. Just an hour from Tulsa, you can camp within a mile from a grocery store, a few hundred feet from a wonderful lake, a few miles from an outstanding off-road park. Great facilities, great hookups at every site. Dog park and other amenities coming soon and they have several acres of open property for the family to walk and explore. We are hoping to use this park several times this summer, hope to see you there!!
This was my first stay at The Park on Whiskey Road. It was extremely clean and well-taken care of. Darin, the owner, has obviously put in the effort to make this park comfortable. He even texts you with recommendations for dining.
The park itself sits among very beautiful trees which helps with the Oklahoma sun. It’s also very close to a grocery store and some very good restaurants.
It’s the little things with me and I appreciate the care, and it shows. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
A really lovely place to stay, highly recommend! We booked last minute for an overnight stay and the owner was so kind and helpful. The grounds are clean and peaceful, and very easy to pull into and out of. The bathrooms and showers are new and clean, and we really enjoyed being able to let our dogs get some exercise in the dog park area. Wish we could have spent more time here!
We stayed here this last weekend. We chose it because of close proximity to family and convenience. A pleasant surprise. A very comfortable, peaceful campsite. We've camped for 20 years and I can say, hands down, most clean, beautiful bathrooms we've come across. We have 2 large dogs as well and loved having a dog park on location for them to run and do their business! Close to everything we needed/wanted for the weekend. Will definitely be back!
