Overall the stay at Acorn Hills Resort was nice. We especially enjoyed the Pontoon ride. Very nice people. There is one small thing that I want to mention. The cabin inside is well done. I did however see the bathroom door is way out of adjustment. I noticed that because I am a carpenter ...(go figure 🙂). The cabin itself is lacking proper center support so the building is under some sagging strain. The way to correct that would be to jack up the one side with a couple house movers jacks enough to crawl under it, then use a laser level and shim accordingly assuming there is a firm footing. I gave it a 5 star because overall it was a really nice get a way location and we had fun!!
This place is awesome! My family has been coming here for 3 years now and absolutely love it! Kyle is so helpful, understanding, and knowledgeable about..... well, just about everything! The grounds are well kept, the atmosphere here is family oriented, the boats are nice and kept up! I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for the perfect getaway, vacation, fishing spot, or any type of family gathering! There are definitely options for fishing! Leech Lake has so much to offer! And if you need anything, Walker is only about 20 minutes away! Thanks to the Acorn resort team! Keep up the good work and we'll see ya next year!
This has been our annual vacation spot for several years. Our cabin is large enough for several families with a great deck and large yard for games. The kids love the lake, lily pads and huge water slide. The owners are always friendly and helpful, even though they are extremely busy. They are working really hard at constantly updating and improving things. I don’t have any complaints.
I did not rate the rooms simply because we stayed in our camper. We initially spent our first weekend here in September of 2022, we are now here seasonally.
We rent the boat from Acorn, kayak when possible , and do a little fishing. Walker has everything you need and is a short drive away. This area has quickly become our home away from home.
We just spent the last week at Acorn Hill Resort. My husband and his brother had been going here for years before the Walter's took over as new owners. We had been going to other resorts in the area but decided to change it up and try somewhere new.
We're glad we chose Acorn Hill. Grounds are very clean and kept up nicely. Cabins are very nice, clean, comfortable beds. Cabins are close to the lake & boats are right out your door. Rates are reasonable. Beach is well kept up and clean. Lot of activities for kids (seeing we had our Granddaughter with us for the week.) She loved it here. She also met and made a friend (Owner's nephew) for the week, so she didn't get to bored. She can't wait to go back. Owners a very nice, helpful & accommodating. Kyle was a big help with our boat issue. They are very busy people and work hard to keep Acorn Hill clean and looking nice. We'll be back. It was a well needed vacation.
