ZERO STARS. We stayed here August 25th-28th, and we’ll never go back. Sunday, we ran to town for an hour to grab ice and propane, and during that time, someone cased our campsite and stole some very expensive gear. We were in a site set back from the road, and we had everything tucked away, so someone felt pretty cavalier in walking into our site and looking for high-value items. Don't leave anything out, and be cautious of people watching your site. Questionable people were circling the loop throughout the day, and with no camp host around to monitor, people were free to lurk about. I've been camping my entire life and never felt I needed to lock up everything to walk to the bathroom, water, or run a quick errand. On our hunt for propane at the next exit north, we were told they’ve had serious meth and crime problems and were just featured on the news, so be alert. We have a feeling this is a regular occurrence. Be extra cautious with Labor Day coming up!
