There are 41 new rules at this campground. This has been a fishing destination for my family for generations unfortunately the new campground managers have really soured the experience with the new rules and they are not very accommodating to people who are traveling great distances to visit. They turned my friends away for arriving 2 hours early even though the campsite they reserved was empty and ready for their arrival. They drove to Mendocino rather than pay extra day use fees for the 2 hour early arrival. They will offer you a free coffee in the store under this fake veil of kindness but then they want extra day use fees if you arrive early. They no longer send you gate codes so you must arrive when there is a gate attendant and you can no longer launch a boat before 6am.

pretty ridiculous what they are doing to this fishing destination.
