Campsite: BLM Ironwood Forest National Monument - Reservation Road Dispersed Camping
Very quiet, however no ironwoods in this area, but it is close to the Saguaro Nat Park West and functions as a free basecamp area to explore Saguaro NP and Tucson Mt Park. Cell service is 4bars lte for Verizon, att, tmobile. The popular area for boondockers seems to be at a different location toward the north end by the small drone/glider airport by pump well road.
Campsite: Greendale - Ashley National Forest
This cg is very nice, only 8 sites and every other one is either reserved or FF. No water (water system seems is not functioning 6-2931) but vault toilets are open. Dusty dirt road adjacent to the CG that goes over to a pvt RV park may be an issue for sites close to that side. Dumpster on site. Cell signal good. Only 4 stars due to water system not working, otherwise 5 stars. NOTE that the GREENDALE GROUP CAMPGROUND is across the hwy and is a different camp unit from this Greendale Campground which is all single family sites
Campsite: Ashley National Forest - Deep Creek Campground
Small cg at bottom of a canyon. No potable water, no trash dumpsters. Recent improvements seem to include a new bridge over the creek and several new vault toilets. However, this CG has NO CELL signal whatsoever. Note the road in narrows down to a single lane as it drops into the narrow canyon, I would not pull a TT into this CG!

Campsite: Red Springs Campground - Temporarily Closed
Looks nice, but seems it has been let run down a bit. FS sign notes the CG is free pending rehabilitation of the site. 13 sites tucked nicely into Aspen pine trees. However cell service is limited due to location. No water, dumpster was locked up..did not check the restroom assume it was locked.
Campsite: Half Moon WMA - Pole Creek Campground
Small campground, 17 total sites, sites $7 but notice posted that rates may be raised to $12. About 1/2 sites can be reserved, rest are FF. No camp host onsite. Sites are tucked into dense willow-aspen shrubs and only a few have paths direct to the lake, but there are two overflow parking spots that allow access to the beaches on lake. Bugs are likely bad at times. Roads into this CG are narrow and sketchy for large rvs or travel trailers. Cell service is none. A private lodge is farther down the access Rd toward the hiking TH. Road to the TH is narrow, rocky and limited parking, very limited turnaround for trailers
