The Goldilocks ‘Just Right’ of Campgrounds!

What a wonderful serendipitous discovery! Joe and Siobhan, the camp managers, were two of the friendliest and most helpful people I have ever met, and I’ve crossed country four times! They and their staff, notably Stan and Jeanne, helped me frequently, moving camp, managing resources, and with helpful information.

This is a family camp, with many adventures right within walking distance. Trails for hiking, biking, disc golf, rafting, movie nights and Halloween celebrations! Excellent facilities, well maintained, wood and ice in the store during business hours.

And you can walk across the street and explore the Chasm itself.

I thought it was amazing that they have Wi-Fi throughout the entire campground, but it can be spotty, which is the only reason I didn’t rate it a full 5 stars. Frequent loss of signal, or even just being kicked off the network if you have a signal. It caused me to lose some time resubmitting work.

I stayed for an entire month, Labor Day thru Indigenous People’s Day. Even during the rains the camp was nice and navigable. I explored the hiking trails several times, and even enjoyed swimming in the kiddie pool, although they are upgrading that this winter. They are also adding a game room!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and wish I’d been here with family. I had a very spiritual experience, and my inner child had fun! The Inner Sanctum trail is a must, though definitely for intermediate hikers.
