I did this hike coming up East Maroon Creek and over Triangle Pass. Incredibly beautiful area, wild flowers and views. It was difficult but well wor....wait. No, this is terrible, don't come here. Way too many people, rabid ptarmigans everywhere, lightning regularly strikes the pool, some smelly hippy guy was ogling all of the visitors and kept trying to sell me Phish tickets. Glenwood Springs is much better.
