After a long days drive what a disappointment with this property. The outdoors are very well kept and beautiful views; however after stepping on the front porch every thing changed. First the screen door was falling off, my husband had to pull it up to be able to close it. I had been told that the unit was ready for our arrival … first impression… what is this? … floors hadn’t been cleaned, bed sheets were full of crumbs, had a blood stain, mattress protector was old and had large stains… the kitchen? totally disgusting… cooktop was full of dry crusted food… when I removed the burners and plates the bottom was rusted, full of old spilled food… there was two bags of leftovers inside the refrigerator, microwave was rusted inside…toaster oven was filthy… I took pictures of everything and send them to Sonja on a text message… minutes later Teena the owner contacted us … she came over to look at the unit and told us it had been a misunderstanding, the cleaning girl hadn’t cleaned the cabin. We had to leave the cabin so she could send the girl back to clean it when we got back after 2 hrs, sheets were changed but stove was not cleaned neither the toaster oven … and surprise we had not towels in the bathroom only one hand towel was left. After a long conversation with Teena (the owner) without us asking for a refund yet she told us that she is not able to give us a refund back but was going to give us a certificate for 2 future free nights … we stayed for the two nights we had made reservations for, never heard from Teena again.
