Gorgeous, well-maintained state park with amazing views along the Case Inlet. Boat launch with parking, nice campsites, plenty of picnic spots. Probably an amazing place to catch a sunset.

I don't believe they allow motorized watercraft to be launched here (see photos.) The part of the inlet looks pretty calm so I imagine it's a great place to kayak, canoe, etc.

There's a LARGE day-use picnic shelter that looks great for a weekend grill party.

Discover Pass (or similar) required. Ranger/Camp Host on site, at least in the summer.

Olympic Otter

Like many Olympic National Park destinations, Ozette is remote but worth the extra drive to reach. At this time of this post (late March 2021) the lake itself was inaccessible from the campground but the trails were open for hiking. Also the campground was open but several sites along the lake were slightly under water (see pics.)

The hike to Sand Beach was easy - I only did the 3 mile out-and-back instead of the 9 mile loop. Sand Beach is similar to many other ONP beaches. Very breezy, lots of logs, rocky, and rough tides. Sea stacks along the coast lend an eerie ambiance.

Olympic Otter

This campground may not boast the top-notch amenities of some national parks, but the lake views and access more than make up for it. If you can live without a shower and sparkling porcelain for a few days, you'll enjoy this serene campground well outside of the city. The sites themselves have sturdy picnic tables and iron grates for campfire cooking. Unfortunately during our visit there was a nearly state-wide fire ban in effect due to the recent heat wave (mid-July.)

The lake is wonderful for both the laid-back floater or the active power-boater. Some areas are protected by a 10mph low-wake zone. There are two boat ramps, one for motor craft and one for canoes/kayaks. On the access road to the campground is a beach access area which draws a lot of day-use boaters.

It's a 20-30 minute drive to the nearest grocery/convenience/gas station on the edge of Easton, depending on traffic.
