Stayed here for 1 year and here's my review of the 1b1ba apartment on the second floor and complex altogether.
First off, the management was good and I had no problems at all during and after moving - got back most of the deposit within a month. Moved because the raise in rent (max % the state allows I think) upon renewing the lease was too high for what you get and overall not worth it for me.
The apartment was on the second floor which meant nobody was above it so it was relatively quiet, though the walls were thin and I could hear the neighbors watching TV and talking. The hallway was the most bothersome with children screaming loudly and riding bikes which the door didn't really muffle. Upon move-in I realized neither of main rooms had ceiling lights and I needed to bring my own to be able to see anything, the kitchen however had two lights. The lack of air conditioning was also a struggle in the summer. The appliances were good, though when it came to counters, some were cheaply attached to the wall with thick glue and were an eyesore whenever doing dishes. Not a big deal, but something to point out.
A lot of this could be understood given the relatively affordable price of the unit and the management doing everything they could to make it as nice as they could for residents.
What ultimately made me decide it wasn't worth spending the money to stay there any longer were some of the residents and the opposing apartment complex that seems to house some shady characters which my apartment had the view of. There were often fights happening in the parking lot, an older woman gagging outside our window nearly every morning at 4 and a ridiculously loud ice cream truck stopping there every day (our complex may have not allowed them to come as I only ever saw them stop there). The traffic was pretty busy most of the time as well. The residents living in Riverbend mostly kept to themselves, except for an alcoholic woman knocking on doors and bothering me sometimes when I was outside getting mail. Some people live in 1b apartments with their 7 member family which I didn't think was allowed.
The complex probably deserved a lower rating, but I think a lot of the problems were issues the management couldn't resolve as you can't ban children from playing or manage the opposing apartment complex's parking lot. If you don't mind some louder sounds and can bring your own AC and lighting, it's not a bad place to stay in at all. Plenty of parents with kids, and the complex itself felt quite safe while I was staying there.
