Why I give it 2 stars. None of the contact numbers work. We tried all the numbers provided and they were “disconnected” (we wanted to switch our site to one that was possibly more level). It mentions walk-in primal sites, it does not mention the elevation gain. This pocket park rests on the side of the mountain. Paths are very steep. There is no place to place a tent without being on a hill or having lots of roots underneath. While some of this is normal for campgrounds, I can assure you Acadia Mountain site was nearly impossible to put a 4 person tent comfortably. You will hear traffic, although this wasn’t bothersome to us. You also shouldn’t plan to use the outhouse, iykyk.
