Quiet and tranquil with outstanding facilities. Clean restrooms and showers. Very friendly resident staff. Nice campsites with adequate facilities of electric and water hookups. Good river fishing on South Fork of Kentucky River right behind many of the campsites. Campground has numerous amenities such as playgrounds and picnic area for family fun without interference to campers. Campground is within walking distance to base of the dam for Buckhorn Lake and the tailwaters. Fishing there can be awesome at times.

This has become one of our favorite campgrounds. Whether you're in a tent, a camping trailer, or a motorhome, everyone is equally welcome and accepted. This is family or retirement camping as it should be. An exceptional federal recreation facility operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. You will enjoy it.
