Campsite: Big Rocks North

This is the most gorgeous area in Nevada I've ever seen. A true overlooked spectacle. This place does earn it's name from the many vast boulder fields it has. The road on g-maps south of the park right next to an abandoned ranch (can be seen from satellite view), is not really suitable for cars. It's a very nice walking trail though, where you can gaze out on the never ending desert and crested mountain in the distance. Though on this path, i did encounter a bone of some animal buried in the sands. Showing you that this place is wild and really untouched. As you continue down the gravel road, you will find an info sign titled "Mecca", which talks about petroglyphs, being a steward, and gives warnings about rattlesnakes! Past this point theres, a sign that says Big Rocks Wilderness, it's unmissable, where you can take a picture. From here, the road gets more rough, and a 4WD is required. Though, here is where you can see the magnificent boulder fields and big rocks that give this place it's name. And to the left, is a stunning mountain with layered colors of rock. The next point on the road, theres a little inlet on the right, which can be marked by a giant rock with a hole in it, that google maps says cars can get through, they cant, it's just another walking trail. Less than a quarter of a mile from the dirt road down the path, is another info sign with a picnic table and fire pit. Definitely make the worth while journey out here, but make sure you have thick tires and 4WD to make it past the bumpy roads.
